The Terra-VacColt is by far the most popular model in our paddock cleaning and maintenance range. Because of its compact design and versatility it is an essential piece of equipment for all size yards and has been extensively tried and tested in all equine environments world-wide.

When used in smaller paddocks it massively reduces the fecal worm count to zero in some cases without the outlay in effort of hand picking fields. The Colt makes it easy to clear under hedges, remove acorns, clean water troughs and mulch hedge cuttings and pulled up ragwort.

The time saved when the Colt is used around the yard is massive. It has enough load capacity to clear several beds in a fraction of the time taken when performed by hand and removes moisture and dropped feed to leave the bed clean and fresh every time. It is emptied easily by the use of a hydraulic hand pump which enables any member of the yard staff can use the machine.

The fan is powered by a built-in Briggs and Stratton 9 HP, electric start, petrol engine. We chose this engine after 20 years of development and customer feedback as it has proven to be the most reliable, cost-effective and easily maintained engine that is available. The impeller fan is made from heavy duty 10mm thick steel plate. The plate is plasma cut which gives a tempered edge to the blade that reduces wear and improves its mulching ability as the waste is drawn through the blades. Because of the fans' heavy duty construction, it works like a flywheel which in turn puts considerably less strain on the engine.

The fan is driven by two v-belts. In our experience this gives maximum reliability, minimum maintenance and more importantly protects the engine and gearbox from strain under heavy work-loads.

When the Colt is full it can be emptied by raising the hopper with the hydraulic hand pump. This makes trudging around with wheel barrows and taking a run at an unruly dung heap a thing of the past. The Colt can be emptied exactly where you want it to empty with a fraction of the effort.
